Plastic free at On the Quay

At On the Quay we are committed to doing our part to help Scilly become plastic free. 

We have introduced a range of things to help us, and you make better decisions when it comes to using single use plastic. 

1) All of our cold drinks are sold in glass bottles or cans to allow them to be recycled. This includes our water, which we get from a fantastic company called CanO Water. It is as it sounds- water in a can! It can also be resealed to prevent leaks in your bag.

2) We offer a 10p saving on all hot drinks if you bring it your own reusable cup/mug/bottle.

3) In the next couple of weeks we are hoping to take delivery of our cups for life which will be sold in the café.

4) We have signed up to the refill scheme, and welcome anyone to come and refill their plastic bottle with us at the café. 

5) We use paper bags for our pasties and gifts.

6) And last but certainly not least, we have just taken delivery of our jerry bottles. These bottles are now available to purchase from the Café and we can fill them up straight away for you too! Jerry is a fantastic company that produces reusable metal water bottles. 100% of their profits fund water projects in India and Tanzania.
